ATHLETICSPEED

HPC’s flagship program, Athletic Speed, is designed to equip athletes with all the technical tools, power and speed they need to take their performance on field or court to the next level. Athletic Speed takes key training principles from high level track programs and delivers them to athletes of all levels and codes, developing the elite coordination, timing and power that will have you dominating your opposition.

 

Athletic speed is designed to supplement and weaponise the strength component of the Athlete Program; providing the athlete a space to utilise their strength and power in ways relevant to their sport. We break down all the stages and components of speed; acceleration, speed endurance and top speed, improving positions and power, finally tying everything back in and running fast to get fast.

Athletic Netball Training

STRENGTH
&
POWER

As an athlete with individual strengths, weaknesses and needs, you need a program designed to meet you exactly where you are at and equip you with the tools to become the strongest, most powerful athlete you can be - this is where the HPC Athlete Program stands out from the pack.

 

Every athlete coming into the program is put through a performance testing battery to give us an idea of what they do well already, and where we can look to improve, and after a consultation is given an individualised program to fit their needs. Where the Athlete Program is different is this program changes with you as your needs change - different phases in competition or season, injury, availability or just simply as you improve. We don’t do cookie cutter or set and forget programs; every session is planned and you will always walk into the gym knowing what you will be doing will help to get the best out of you.

 

To cap things off, athletes have the option of utilising the weights room on their own with open gym access, but still under the watchful eye of coaches, or in small group sessions designed to encourage you to push your limits. No matter your preference, a coach is always overseeing sessions, ensuring programs are being executed as designed, so you see the results.

Athletic Conditioning

Grit. It’s hard to define but you know it when you see it, and the best athletes have it in spades. HPC’s athletic conditioning classes will push your limits physically and mentally so you know when it’s time to dig deep on the field or court, you have that extra gear.

 

Athletic conditioning isn’t your generic “HIIT” or “Circuit-Style” group training program; we utilise strategies and modalities that will not just push you, but are also relative to the needs of athletes - we reproduce the demands of games and expose you to intensities that will actually improve your performance. Athletes not only get a workout that has you leaving knowing you’ve done the work, but that will have you confident on game day you can dig deep and show the grit that separates you from the pack.

Junior Athlete

HPC’s Junior Athlete Program has been specifically designed to meet the needs of your growing superstars; developing key skills and qualities they will use for the rest of their lives whilst helping manage them through the critical stages of growth and maturation to help maximise their athletic potential.

 

Under the full-time guidance of our experienced coaches, athletes are exposed to a wide range of drills and exercises to improve speed and power, strength, control, and coordination. Our small group athletic sessions provide structure and make sure every athlete is receiving quality coaching and instruction to ensure movement and technique is correct, effective, and safe.

 

Every athlete coming into the Junior Athlete Program is screened and assessed to ensure a minimum level of independence and competency to ensure they can get the most out of the program. A Pre-Junior Program provides a bridging option for those athletes who require a little extra to get them up to speed. As athletes develop, we can work with you to provide more options to take their training and performance to the next level.

REHAB PROGRAM

HPC Gym's Rehabilitation Program, where we're dedicated to guiding you back to optimal health and strength after an injury. Our program is designed to provide personalized care and targeted exercises to accelerate your recovery journey.

Starting the recover journey

Suffering an injury can often be a stressful and confusing experience; it is difficult to know where and when to start, and with so much conflicting advice, difficult to know what to do. This is where the HPC rehab program comes in.

Your journey begins with a physio consult – this allows us to get to the bottom of your injury and create a rehab plan to get you going as early as possible. To make life even easier, our rehab coach liaises with your physio to develop your program so all you need to do is turn up and do the work.

 

And if you don’t already have a physio, we can help you with that too!

Adapting as you recover

A week is a long time in rehabilitation, and a good program and system meets your needs where they are at on a given day. The ability to have full-time oversight of your rehab plan by an experienced rehab coach allows modifications to be made in real time as you respond to your training, whether pushing you forward as you progress, or hitting the brakes to allow the body to recover, we can ensure you are ticking necessary boxes as soon as capable.

 

Having a coach overseeing your sessions also gives you the confidence to know that you are completing prescribed lifts, drills, and exercises correctly to get the most out of your program while minimising injury risk.

Progressive Rehabilitation: Pushing Limits Safely

Our progressive rehabilitation model constantly challenges you within your individual limits. We understand the critical time constraints for many athletes and look to strike a balance between conservative and accelerated rehabilitation, this allows us to minimise the risk of re-injury whilst also ensuring you spend as little time on the sidelines as possible.

Reintegration into Training

Having all invested parties on the same page is so important to ensuring you get back playing and that includes your sport coach. We look to reintegrate you back into modified and full training as soon as possible and can communicate this with your coaches to ensure clarity around training loads and progressions. We take care of any running and conditioning including acceleration, speed and agility loading to ensure you are adequately prepared to return to full training and finally return to play.

Transitioning to Long-Term Performance

As you transition out of the need for full-time guided rehab, we look to integrate you into athlete program to manage your physical performance to ensure you continue to be able to perform at a high level and reduce the risk of re-injury. This is an often-overlooked component where coaches and athletes assume once they have rehabbed the work is done and the most common time when re-injury occurs. We look to educate, motivate, and engage long-term to promote and develop athleticism to take your performance to another level
