What Makes our Pilates "Athletic"?
Our Athletic Pilates program at HPC combines the precision and control of Pilates with athletic training to create a powerful, full-body workout. Designed specifically with athletes in mind, this hybrid approach uses reformer machines to target core stability, muscle strength, flexibility, and explosive power — all essential for peak athletic performance.
The reformers allow us to create customised workouts tailored to the demands of each and every sport. Whether you're a runner, basketballer, or footballer, our program targets the specific muscles and movement patterns that matter most, boosting your athletic edge.
Why Athletes Use Pilates at HPC
1 / Sport-Specific
Sessions are tailored to the demands of your sport — hip and knee control for cutting, ankle stiffness for rebounding, trunk rotation for throwing, and more.
2 / Transfer, Not Just “Burn”
We load end ranges and build control through length, then bring it back to the patterns you use at speed.
3 / Balanced Strength
We chase symmetry and control under tempo so your gym and field work stack, not compete.
Is this for beginners?
Yes. We teach you the reformer from the ground up and progress at your pace while keeping the work athletic.
Will this replace my strength training?
No. Pilates complements your gym work by building control, range, and trunk stiffness so your lifts and field sessions are cleaner and safer.
How many sessions per week should I do?
Most athletes do 1–2 sessions. In-season, one is enough to maintain; off-season or during return-to-play, two can accelerate improvement.
Do I need to be flexible to start Pilates?
No. Pilates is designed to improve your flexibility and mobility over time. We’ll meet you where you are now and build range safely without forcing positions your body isn’t ready for.
